Freddy Chávez Olmos is a multidisciplinary Creative Director, filmmaker, and Visual Effects Supervisor with nearly two decades of experience across feature films, episodic television, and emerging production technologies.
Based in Vancouver, he currently serves as Creative Director for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at Boxel Studio, where he leads the integration of AI and machine learning into real-world VFX, animation, and virtual production pipelines. Freddy’s work spans collaborations with studios such as ILM, Weta Digital, DNEG, and Image Engine, contributing to projects including Blade Runner 2049, The Mandalorian, and Superman & Lois.
He is a Directors Guild of Canada member and an international speaker at SIGGRAPH, VES, and TEDx.
