Chaos Arena Cloud: Real-Time Cinematic Streaming for Global Virtual Production

About The Session

The Chaos Arena Cloud team presents the findings of a successful global real-time virtual production test conducted across three continents using the CenterGrid VFX Cloud infrastructure. The demonstration connected a Chaos Arena server running inside a U.S.-based VFX datacenter, a live remote operator in the Netherlands, and a virtual production stage operating in Bulgaria—proving that cinematic-quality virtual production can now function as a globally distributed cloud-native workflow.

The paper explores how Chaos Arena’s real-time ray tracing, native VFX asset support, USD-based workflows, Gaussian Splat rendering, and high-fidelity LED wall visualization enabled artists and technicians to collaborate remotely while maintaining final-pixel cinematic quality. Attendees will see the complete workflow architecture, streaming methodology, synchronization process, latency considerations, and production results from the live test.

This milestone demonstrates a major evolution in cloud virtual production, revealing how next-generation infrastructure can securely connect global artists, operators, and stages into a unified real-time production environment. The project points toward a future where virtual production is no longer limited by geography, enabling scalable, distributed filmmaking powered by cloud computing, advanced networking, and real-time cinematic rendering.
