Gastón Álvarez, Creative Lead / Producer at Spaceboy, is part of the core leadership team at Spaceboy, a Mexico-based creative studio working across VFX, animation, motion capture, and game development. He helps guide the studio’s hybrid production approach, balancing commercial work with internal IP development under their “Build From Inside” philosophy.
Spaceboy operates as a compact but highly agile creative production lab, combining real-time engines, performance capture, and cinematic workflows to deliver high-end content across film, advertising, and interactive media. Their pipeline supports both client-driven production and original world-building, including narrative projects such as the game Hannah.
In this session, Gastón Álvarez will share how Spaceboy integrates storytelling and real-time production into a unified system designed for modern content creation at scale.
A key focus will be their collaboration with CenterGrid, exploring how Gaussian Splatting–based scene processing is being integrated into their workflow. These techniques enable faster world building, higher-fidelity digital environments, and more efficient real-time production pipelines.
Attendees will gain insight into how Spaceboy is combining storytelling, real-time production, and emerging neural reconstruction methods to push the boundaries of independent studio capability in Latin America.
